UCI COACH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The Coach Development Programme (CDP) is designed to provide coaches with the opportunity to study and practice all aspects of coaching the cycling disciplines under the expert guidance of the UCI World Cycling Centre (WCC) team. The programme is designed to increase levels of knowledge and expertise in all areas of cycle coaching and candidates will be exposed to more than one cycling discipline.
The CDP Levels 1 and 2 are aimed at new coaches, those working with younger riders or developing athletes.
The Level 3 (Diploma) is the highest qualification offered and is aimed at experienced coaches who will be working either with their National Team or with National level riders. The WCC can assist you to select the correct level. The exposure to athletes and the knowledge gained from both qualifications will allow each coach to develop in multiple roles - from working with talent identification, developing young riders through to elite level cyclists looking to compete at a world level.
